Aesthetics

Step 1

Step 2

Step 3

Step 4!!!

Jcrew.com is visually pleasing, clean cut, and simplistic. However, it is a bit frustrating that you have to click on several links to finally end up where you want to be. To look at one of the collections highlighted on the homepage you must click “See the Lookbook” and then either hit “See the Lookbook” again on the new screen or “Shop all items”. There is no way of seeing a garment without having to be transported to the merchandise’s page. It would help J.Crew appeal better to their target customer if there was a way to hover the mouse over a garment when you are looking at entire categories to see a magnified photo of an individual garment. When navigating around the J.Crew website there is no pull-down menu under men’s, women’s, or any of the other categories to quickly navigate to a classification like tops. This would be a good idea for J.Crew to incorporate, as it will improve the speed of a consumer traveling around a site to find something to purchase. On J.Crew’s website there is no way to search by price, which is another feature that could improve traffic on the J.Crew website. The photos for the merchandise of J.Crew are attention grabbing and are styled with the target customer in mind.
